Mission: To advance the science of the sea through the study of marine and estuarine ecosystems, through the public Mote Aquarium, and through an education division that provides unique programs for all ages.
Our habitat enhancement goals include:
- Identify stocking effects on surrounding habitat
Our stock ehancement goals include:
- Design, build, and evaluate prototype intensive systems for red drum production
- Evaluate red drum preformance: growth, survival, and health
- Evaluate system preformance: filter efficiency and water chemistry
Our outreach/education goals include:
- Providing tours to site visitors
- Help the general public to consider the large-scale commercial application of aquaculture
